Plump capitals upholstered in cognac leather, with saddle stitching running right around each shape and creases gathering where the padding pulls against the seam. Corners roll off soft, because padded leather cannot hold a point. It suits furniture, luggage, menswear, motorcycle, barbershop and retro sports branding.

Stuffed and stitched like a saddle

Every letter behaves, of course, like a filled cushion rather than a drawn shape. The faces bulge softly, and the edges roll over the way padding does. A line of saddle stitching then runs right around each form, dipping slightly into the leather at every hole. Corners round off, because padded leather cannot hold a sharp point. The ampersand carries its own seam too. So the whole alphabet reads as an object you could press with a thumb.

Cognac grain that catches every highlight

Colour, meanwhile, sits between cognac and saddle tan. Fine grain covers the surface, and a broad soft highlight rides the top of every stroke. Darker creases also gather where the padding pulls tight against the seam. On cream the letters look expensive, meanwhile, while on yellow or blue they turn playful. Look at the G, then, and you can follow one continuous seam.

Brown Leather Font for premium and retro branding

Premium branding is the natural fit for the Brown Leather Font, of course. You will see it below on a black poster, a framed print, a white tee, a brick-wall billboard and a blue book cover. Besides that, furniture, luggage, motorcycle and menswear brands all suit it. Retro sports and barbershop work borrow it too, since stitched leather carries that history. Print it big, then the stitching sells the whole thing.

The Brown Leather Font, glyph by glyph

Capitals, numerals, currency signs and punctuation all come stitched too. The Brown Leather Font arrives as a working OTF, so headlines type straight in. Alongside it sit high-resolution PNG letters on transparent backgrounds. Naturally, those hold the stitch detail over any photograph. For the same padding in black, see the Black Leather Font, or else browse the Luxury Fonts collection.
